Lake Bled International Ice Dance Camp 2027

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all participants attending the Lake Bled International Ice Dance Camp 2027, organised by Ice Dance Events Adults Ltd (IDEA). By registering for the camp, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

1. Registration and Payment

All participants must complete the registration form and make full payment before their place is confirmed. The applicable camp fees are:

Lake Bled Spring Camp 9th-11th April 2027

• Early Bird: €325 per person for registrations by 30 November 2026
• Normal Price: €350 per person – from 1st December 2026

Lake Bled International Ice Dance Camp August 9th-13th 2027

• Early Bird: €595 per person for registrations by 31 December 2026
• Normal price: €695 per person from 1 January 2027

Once IDEA has accepted a booking and received payment, the participant’s place is reserved specifically for that participant.

2. Participant Cancellation

A participant may cancel their place by notifying IDEA in writing. Where IDEA receives a cancellation notice before the event date, no refund is normally available.

IDEA may attempt to resell a cancelled place, but is not required to do so and does not guarantee that a replacement participant will be found. If IDEA accepts a replacement participant and receives payment for the place, IDEA may issue a refund to the cancelling participant. The refund will be calculated as:

• amount actually received from the replacement participant less:
• costs incurred by IDEA that cannot be recovered;
• any other reasonable costs directly arising from the cancellation or resale.

If the replacement participant pays less than the cancelling participant paid, the refund will be limited to the net amount recovered and may therefore be less than the original amount paid.

If the place is not resold, no refund will normally be available. For the avoidance of doubt, a waiting-list entry, proposed replacement or incomplete booking does not constitute a resale. A resale occurs only when IDEA has approved the replacement participant and received the relevant payment.

2.2 Travel, Flights and Documentation

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents. IDEA will not normally provide a refund or deferral for travel-related problems, including:

• cancelled or delayed flights;
• missed flights or connections;
• airline disruption;
• strikes or industrial action affecting travel;
• passport problems;
• expired, lost or damaged passports;
• visa or entry requirements;
• failure to obtain required travel documentation;
• lost baggage; orother circumstances affecting the participant’s ability to travel or attend the camp.

Participants should claim through their travel insurer where appropriate. A participant’s inability to claim under an insurance policy does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a refund from IDEA.

This section does not prevent IDEA from applying the resale provisions set out above.

3. Transfers

A participant may ask IDEA to transfer their place to another person. A transfer is valid only if IDEA approves it in writing before the event and the replacement participant satisfies all applicable event requirements. The original participant remains responsible for the booking until IDEA confirms the transfer. IDEA may charge a reasonable administration fee for processing a transfer. The fee will be notified before the transfer is processed. A transfer is not a resale unless IDEA confirms that it is treating it as a resale and receives the required payment from the replacement participant.

IDEA may refuse a proposed transfer where the replacement participant does not meet the event requirements, the transfer would create administrative or financial difficulties, or there is another reasonable basis for refusal.

4. Cancellation or Disruption by IDEA

IDEA reserves the right to cancel the camp if necessary, including where there are insufficient bookings for the camp to proceed. If IDEA cancels the camp before it starts, participants will be notified and offered either:

• a refund of the amount paid directly to IDEA, less fees, costs or other expenses already incurred by IDEA that cannot be recovered; or
• where possible, a deferral of the amount paid towards a future IDEA event.

The participant may choose between the options offered, subject to the conditions in this section. Where cancellation is due to insufficient bookings, IDEA will refund payments in accordance with the above provisions. IDEA will not normally refund or reimburse costs paid independently by participants, including flights, accommodation, travel, insurance, visas or other personal expenses.

4.2 Force Majeure and External Circumstances

IDEA will not be held responsible for cancellation or disruption caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• war;
• natural disasters;
• pandemics;
• extreme weather;
• government-imposed travel restrictions;
• strikes or industrial action;
• last-minute ice rink closure; or other circumstances outside IDEA’s reasonable control.

If the camp is cancelled because of such circumstances, the same refund and deferral options described above will apply. However, any refund will be subject to amounts actually recoverable by IDEA, and IDEA reserves the right to deduct non-recoverable costs and expenses incurred up to the date of cancellation. IDEA’s liability remains limited to amounts paid directly to IDEA and does not extend to independently incurred costs such as flights, accommodation, travel, insurance, visas or other personal expenses. If the camp has started and IDEA is unable to complete it, IDEA will determine the appropriate refund or deferral by reference to:

• the part of the camp that was not provided;
• costs already incurred;
• amounts recoverable by IDEA; and
• any other relevant circumstances.

IDEA will communicate the proposed arrangement to participants.

5. Venue and Event Changes

If the venue is unable to host the camp due to equipment failure, structural issues or other unforeseen circumstances, IDEA will attempt to relocate the camp to a suitable alternative venue.

If a suitable alternative cannot be found, the provisions of Section 4 will apply.

5.2 Changes to Coaches or Programme

IDEA may make reasonable changes to the camp where circumstances require this. Changes may include:

• coaches;
• schedules;
• ice sessions;
• venues; or other programme elements.

IDEA will make reasonable efforts to provide the advertised camp and will notify participants of significant changes as soon as possible. If a scheduled coach is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, IDEA will endeavour to arrange a standby or substitute coach to ensure continuity of the camp.

6. Private Lessons

Participants must provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they wish to change or cancel a private lesson booking. Full payment will be charged for private lesson cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice.

7. Health, Safety and Medical Conditions

7.1 Medical Fitness – Participants must be sufficiently fit and able to participate safely in the camp activities. Participants may be asked to provide medical clearance if requested by IDEA. Participants are required to notify IDEA of any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries that could affect their ability to participate safely in the camp.

7.2 Injuries and Accidents – First aid provision will be available on-site during scheduled sessions. Any injuries occurring during camp activities must be reported immediately to the appropriate first aid representative or coach. Participants acknowledge that ice skating is an inherently risky activity and accept responsibility for the risks associated with participating in the camp.

7.3 Safety Guidelines- Safety notices and guidance will be provided to participants before and during the camp. By registering for the camp, participants agree to follow all reasonable safety instructions and guidelines designed to protect the safety and wellbeing of all participants, coaches and staff.

8. Insurance

Participants are strongly advised to obtain suitable travel, cancellation and personal accident insurance at the time of booking. Insurance should, where available, cover circumstances that may prevent attendance, including:

• illness;
• injury;
• bereavement;
• travel disruption; and other cancellation risks.

Participants are responsible for deciding what level of insurance is appropriate and for complying with their insurer’s requirements. IDEA’s cancellation policy does not replace personal insurance and does not guarantee that a participant will recover all losses. IDEA is not liable for medical costs, travel disruption, or losses that may be covered by personal insurance.

9. Equipment and Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their own skating equipment and personal belongings. IDEA is not liable for lost, damaged or stolen personal property during the camp.

10. Dietary Requirements and Allergies

Participants are required to provide information regarding any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of registration. Participants with severe allergies are responsible for bringing any necessary medication, such as an EpiPen, and informing IDEA of their condition. Participants remain responsible for managing their own dietary and medical needs. IDEA is not liable for allergic reactions caused by food or other environmental factors during the camp.

11. Behaviour and Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to behave respectfully towards other skaters, coaches, organisers and staff. Discriminatory, abusive or bullying behaviour will not be tolerated. Participants who breach this code of conduct may be removed or expelled from the camp without refund.

11.2 Conflict Resolution

Any disputes or conflicts arising during the camp should be brought to the attention of the organisers. IDEA will make reasonable attempts to resolve disputes amicably. However, IDEA reserves the right to remove participants whose behaviour is disruptive to the event or who breach these terms and conditions.

12. Photography and Media

By participating in the camp, participants consent to photographs and videos taken during the camp being used by IDEA for promotional and marketing purposes. Participants who do not wish to be included in photographs or other media should notify the organisers in advance.

13. Liability

By registering for the Lake Bled Spring Ice Dance Camp 2027, participants acknowledge that ice skating is an inherently risky activity and accept responsibility for personal injury or damage to property incurred during the camp, subject to applicable law. Participants acknowledge that IDEA, its organisers and coaches, and the venue management are not responsible for accidents, injuries or losses arising from participation in the event, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

14. Personal Data and Communications

By submitting a registration form, participants consent to the storage and use of their personal data for the purposes of administering the camp and communicating with them about the camp and related IDEA events. Participants may also receive newsletters and updates about IDEA programmes and events. Participants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

15. Agreement

By registering for the Lake Bled Spring Ice Dance Camp 2027, participants, and their legal guardians where applicable, agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with any part of these terms and conditions may result in the participant being removed from the camp without refund. By submitting a registration form and payment, the participant confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
