About

The organisers

Debbie Beesley, Jose Cano Ruiz, Eszter Lukenics ,Nicky Conway, John Alderman are a group of passionate adult ice dancers who volunteer to organise not-for-profit skating camps across Europe. Our story began with Jimmy Young’s much-loved camp in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and when that could no longer continue due to ice rink closure, we came together to keep the camp alive.

In August 2025, we ran our first five-day camp in beautiful Lake Bled, bringing together adult ice dancers of all levels from around the world. Following its success, we’re excited to announce:

  • Historical Ice Dance Weekend: 9–11 January 2026, Vienna
  • Winter Camp: 2–4 March 2026, Lake Bled
  • Summer Camp: 10–14 August 2026, Lake Bled

All organisers are volunteers and Ice Dance Events is a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus funds are reinvested into future events.
