After years of Jimmy Young’s amazing summer ice dance camps that have inspired so many adult ice dancers, we’re thrilled to share something brand new, our first-ever Winter Mini Camp at Lake Bled!

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Slovenia’s most enchanting destination, this three-day training camp (2–4 March 2026) offers skaters the chance to train, grow, and connect under the expert guidance of the inspirational Jimmy Young and his team, all while surrounded by snow-capped peaks and the shimmering winter light on Lake Bled.

This camp follows the same principles that have made the summer camp such a success: high-quality coaching, a supportive and friendly atmosphere, and a shared passion for ice dance and performance. But this time, it comes with a magical winter twist and maybe even a chance to ski if the snow holds!

A Welcoming Space for Every Skater

Jimmy Youngs ice dance camps have always been known for their warm, inclusive, and encouraging environment, a place where adult skaters can feel safe to learn, explore, and challenge themselves. We welcome skaters working on perfecting three turns and mohawks to those working on elite-level ice dance techniques. You’ll find coaching that meets you where you are and helps you move forward with confidence.

We’re passionate about keeping the foundations of ice dance alive, especially the traditional pattern dances that are the heart and soul of our sport. Through these dances, skaters develop rhythm, flow, and the pure joy of gliding in time to the music the essence of what makes ice dance so timeless and rewarding.

Meet Our Coaches

Jimmy Young

If you’ve ever attended our summer camps, you’ll know that Jimmy brings a unique blend of passion, precision, and positivity to everything he teaches.

A NISA Level 5 Coach, Jimmy has inspired skaters at every level, from national champions to Olympians. His coaching experience spans across Britain, Austria, Japan, Finland, Sweden, and Germany, with his students earning podium finishes such as 3rd at the European Championships and 5th at the World Championships.

Jimmy has also had the honour of working alongside legendary coaches including Betty Callaway, Tamara Tarasova, Natalia Linichuk, and Murielle Boucher.

Beyond coaching, Jimmy served as an ISU Technical Specialist, officiating at two Junior World Championships and numerous Grand Prix events. But what truly sets him apart is his warmth and joy in teaching. As Jimmy says himself, he has “had the pleasure of coaching Jason, Helen, and Daniel” and the feeling, we know, is mutual!

Jason Blomfield

A familiar and much-loved face at our camps, Jason’s skating journey began under the mentorship of Jimmy Young and his passion for ice dance has only grown stronger since.

Jason went on to represent Great Britain at both the European and World Championships in Ice Dance, bringing that depth of experience to every class he teaches.

Now a NISA Level 3 Coach, Jason has guided many skaters to British Championship titles. His combination of technical expertise, musical sensitivity, and positive coaching style makes him a favourite among skaters of all ages. His classes are known for their energy, precision, and infectious love of skating.

What to Expect at the Winter Mini Camp

The Winter Camp offers:

• 6 hours of ice time per day
• Edge and Dance Technique classes
• Ice Dance sessions
• Patch ice with private lesson options
• A warm Welcome Meeting to kick off the weekend
• An optional Camp Dinner to enjoy great food and company

All for just €350 per person.

In winter, Lake Bled transforms into something truly magical, snow-dusted landscape that feels like it’s straight out of a fairytale. Between training sessions, skaters can enjoy the peaceful beauty of the lake, cozy cafés, and maybe even a run on the slopes if the snow is still sparkling on the mountains.
